Sustainability
As the global economy transitions to a sustainable one, we accept and deepen our role as catalysts and facilitators of constructive change. The goal of sustainability is to satisfy current needs without affecting the capacity of future generations to satisfy their own. ADNOC Petroleum Storage Tank is building infrastructure that will enable the introduction of necessary goods for the future in an effort to help future generations fulfill their needs and contribute to a more sustainable economy.

Sustainable Development Goals
ADNOC Petroleum Storage Tank supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We specifically embrace the five SDGs where, together with our stakeholders, we can create the most value for stakeholders and society as a whole. In line with these SDGs, we believe we can have the most impact by supporting the energy and feedstock transitions, providing a safe working environment, helping avoid air, water, and soil pollution, and building resilient, sustainable infrastructure in ports around the world.
Adopted by every member state of the UN in 2015, it offers a common roadmap for peace and prosperity for the world’s population both today and in the future. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which represent an urgent call to action for all nations—developed and developing—in a global partnership, are at the center of it. They understand that eradicating poverty and other forms of deprivation requires concerted efforts to combat climate change, protect our seas and forests, enhance health and education, and lower inequality in addition to promoting economic growth.
Sustainability Strategy
We are dedicated to generating long-term value for our people, our business, and society as a responsible storage provider. We have a long history of serving as the world’s ethical energy supplier and a major driving force for the expansion and diversification of the UAE’s economy. Here, we uphold the objective of the late UAE Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who sought to strike a balance between environmental responsibility and economic prosperity.
With its emphasis on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, our sustainability roadmap harmonizes our mission with stakeholder interests and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Additionally, it lays out a number of initiatives related to the major sustainability issues that are most important to our stakeholders and on which we can make the biggest financial, environmental, and social gains. Along with offering a framework for implementing the strategic transformation of our portfolio toward zero- and low-carbon energies and feedstocks, as well as cleaner conventional products, the roadmap also outlines how we will integrate sustainability into our worldwide investment decisions and processes. Furthermore, the roadmap guarantees well-defined activities and priorities, seamlessly incorporating them into our yearly budget cycles, corporate agendas, and day-to-day operations.

Environmental Protection
Our actions have an indirect as well as direct impact on the environment. Since we want to minimize our negative environmental impact, we will do everything in our ability to present ourselves to potential customers as an environmentally conscious business. We are conscious of the potential environmental dangers associated with our activities because our firm depends on resources like power, water, and building materials. For this reason, we need to work tirelessly to minimize any adverse consequences on the environment, both now and then. In order to be successful, we have high expectations of ourselves in the environment.
An integral component of our HSSE management system is environmental challenges. In order to minimize negative consequences, we must adhere to our HSSE policy, which mandates that we use energy and raw materials efficiently, refrain from endangering the environment, and raise staff understanding of environmental issues. We have always monitored the amount and frequency of product releases, water and energy consumption, and waste generated at our locations. Furthermore, we have defined pertinent key performance indicators (KPIs) to help us identify and assess our success more efficiently. Additionally. As a precautionary measure, we also regularly evaluate the groundwater quality on our tank terminals in accordance with our HSSE management. Our environmental specialists meticulously review the data that has been gathered.
